The next Land Rover Discovery gets teased to replace LR4

It’s so old and outdated that Land Rover teased the next-generation model earlier this morning.

The company is a little versed in the features, but expectations from the new disco are not much different from what is already known.

In previous reports, Land Rover has confirmed that the new Discovery shares its trunk with the same modular platform that Jaguar XJ, the full-size Range Rover and Range Rover Sport currently offer.

As you can see in the photos, the Discovery style resembles the modern Discovery Sport, but in large proportions.

The all-new Discovery also means that the new car will use the latest line of efficient and innovative Jaguar-Land Rover Ingenium engines.

The current and outgoing Discovery 4 / LR4 is a highly updated version of Discovery 3 / LR3 from 2004. Land Rover claims that the transition from Discovery 3 / LR3 to Discovery 4 / LR4 is being transferred to a new generation.

However, both were from the same 12-year-old truck dating back to Land Rover’s marriage to the Ford Motor Company. Land Rover is now partnering with Jaguar, and Tata Motors, based in India, is the parent company.
